Parent/Teen Ministry

The purpose of our Parent/Teen Ministry is to glorify God through the relationships between parents and their teenagers. As a church, we want to support teens during what are often the most difficult and critical years of their lives and challenge them in their pursuit of God. We also want to provide support for their parents by equipping them to effectively instruct and nurture their teens.

Transform

Transform is the name of our monthly meeting held for teens from seventh to twelfth grade and their parents. The parents and teens receive teaching, worship God together, fellowship, and do fun games and activities with one another.

The combined parent-teen approach to youth ministry has been immensely helpful to us. We have heard wonderful messages from the book of Proverbs and then been encouraged to apply these truths together with our youth. The discussions not only enable us to better care for our children's hearts, but also provide a context for us as parents to confess our own weakness and need of God's grace in specific areas.

Additionally, we are refreshed by the cross-centered worship with our families. Finally, where would we be without the infamous "Roberto Games" that help mortify the sin of pride right before our children's eyes?

Parent/Teen Care Groups

Once a month parents meet with other parents in Care Groups to encourage, challenge and care for one another. Also once a month, the teens from eighth to twelfth grade join their parents in the Care Group to discuss and apply the teaching from the monthly Transform meetings.

Youth Camp

One of the highlights of the year, Youth Camp is three days of biblical teaching, worship, hilarious games, skits and building friendships for eighth to twelfth graders and their parents. Many of the young adults in our church would say that God significantly touched their lives at Youth Camp.

Youth Camp 2008 happens June 18-21. View the new Youth Camp 2008 flyer.

Youth Camp rivals Christmas as the best time of year for me. Without Youth Camp, my life would be significantly different.
